PREMIUMBOND FR (B) ALUMINUM COMPOSITE PANEL

There are 2 kinds of fireproof aluminum composite panels: FR (B) class and A2 class. The former contains 50% – 55% flame retardant; its main ingredients are aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and magnesium oxide (MgO). When FR (B) class panels are put on fire, they can take 5 minutes to go up in flames. And when they do, the fire will extinguish after 10 seconds.

The latter class, however, is 75% – 80% flame retardant, its main ingredients are aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)₃) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)₂). These panels can take 15 minutes to catch fire; the fire will extinguish at once when the fire swallows up the panels.
